dc.description.abstract | The paper scrutinizes the thematic diversity of the seminal piece of the medieval Georgian poetry by Shota Rustaveli. The rich set of spiritual some emotional values of the poetry is placed within the broadest context of the Oriental and Occidental traditions of classical poetry and world outlooks. The important point is made about moving themes and poetic instruments from Orient to West. Linkages of the epical poems of Western poetry and the Orient are argued to demonstrate the thematic convergences in creativity of Western and Oriental genius poets of the classical period. Representation of richest variety of values and eternal thematic diversity in the poetry by Shota Rustaveli are explained in highlights of cultural diversity of the medieval Georgian society. | en_US |
