The Syrian Refugee Crisis: New Negotiation Chapter In European Union-Turkey Relations

Title: The Syrian Refugee Crisis: New Negotiation Chapter In European Union-Turkey Relations
Authors: Aydin, Ulviyye
Abstract: Syria is one of the countries where a revolution wave named Arab Spring uprose in early
2011. The most radical discourse from Arab Spring into the still ongoing civil wars took
place in Syria as early as the second half of 2011. At the beginning it was a civil protest
against Assad’s government. Nobody could not estimate the future developments in Syria.
The cost of the war in Syria increases every day. More than 250,000 Syrians have lost their
lives in four-and-a-half years of armed conflict, which began with anti-government protests
before escalating into a full-scale civil war. More than 11 million others have been forced
from their homes as forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and those opposed to his rule
battle each other - as well as jihadist militants from Islamic State. Mixed featured
developments and longer resistance of Assad’s regime than estimated escalated tension in
Syria in last four and half years. As a result, many countries in the Middle East, such as
Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, also Turkey, Serbia, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, Austria,
Netherlands, Bulgaria are the sides that should pay a cost of the Syrian war. These states
spend a remarkable budget for the Syrian refugees. Economic expenditure is just one
dimension of Syrian refugee crisis. Movement of Syrian refugees to the European countries
passing Turkish borders is one of the biggest migration crisis of the modern world history.
Considering multifaced impacts of the migration, the aim of this paper is to analyze the
Syrian refugee crisis as a new negotiation headline between the Europan Union and Turkey.

Title: A study of South Asian Refugee’s Settlement Experiences in Estonia
Authors: Islam, Aminul
Abstract: In a constant changing world, societies that remained homogenous are quickly
turning a remnant of the past. Continuous migration, intercultural communication,
agreements, cooperation, war, societal, financial and political conflicts all testify
to the fact that we are going through on an age of diversity.

In search of a "new" Sovietology, new Post- Sovietologyor Central AsianStudies…

Title: In search of a "new" Sovietology, new Post- Sovietologyor Central AsianStudies…
Authors: Shaimardanova, Zarema
Abstract: The Euro-American, Kazakh and Russian studies naturally raised and are still raising the
question of the future Sovietology, Post-Sovietology and even Post-Post- Sovietology
caused by the USSR collapse and understanding the need to rethink the theoretical and
methodological foundations to study the New Independent States / CIS as a whole and in
the Central Asian region, in particular. Sovietology could not adequately reflect the
changed reality. The author demonstrates the consistency and inconsistency of sovietology
concerning the question about Kazakhstan history, as colonization, russification,
sovietization and etc. The socio-economic development of independent Kazakhstan
evaluated by foreign researchers was taken as an example in order to show traits of
Sovietology inherited earlier. Guided by the inequality of the world order and sovietology
experience, the objective and impartial theoretical and methodological basis to study CIS
space is required. Otherwise, methodological inconsistency of Sovietology and Post-
Sovietology in explanation and understanding of the political and socio-cultural processes
in the territory of CIS will be a natural phenomenon. The "special way" of study, neoinstitutional
approach, historical, comparative and pluralist approaches are offered on the
basis of international scholars' analysis.

The Impact of Rhythm and Gender on Spelling Output of Iranian EFL Learners: A Cross-Sectional Study

Title: The Impact of Rhythm and Gender on Spelling Output of Iranian EFL Learners: A Cross-Sectional Study
Authors: Nouraey, Peyman; Karimnia, Amin
Abstract: Teaching English as a Foreign Language (henceforth TEFL) has always been
referred to as a complicated process, containing different methods of teaching and
learning in addition to some other concepts such as teacher or learner (Brown,
2000). In order to overcome the obstacles faced during these processes, several
scholars have presented different meta-models as to what the basic concepts of
TEFL relate to. Like any other theoretical construct, a meta-model is meant “to
bring to the surface what is hidden” (Katan, 2004, p.127). These methods and
models have had a great deal of contribution to different aspects of TEFL,
including four main skills in learning a foreign language, namely listening,
speaking, reading and writing. Thus, it is assumed that dealing with different hints
and points which may boost the learners’ minds and help the learners in
understanding the phenomenon in question in a better way would be welcomed.
