Abstract: This study aims to measure the social media literacy level of primary school students in Baku.&#xD;
60 randomly selected primary school students were interviewed, and the data were analyzed&#xD;
by the use of the content analysis technique. The results revealed that participants use social&#xD;
media to attend online classes, to gather information for doing their homework, to&#xD;
communicate with their friends, and to play games by using mobile phones, tablets, PCs and&#xD;
smart TVs. 68% of students take precautions to ensure their safety, 57% are aware of the&#xD;
potential risks and harms of social media, and 93% of them do not communicate with people&#xD;
they do not know personally. It is highly suggested that social media literacy education can&#xD;
be given to the students at the schools and the universities can educate the parents about being&#xD;
social media literate as part of their social responsibility to their communities.</description>

Abstract: The aim of this study is to evaluate prospective mathematics teachers' knowledge of teaching&#xD;
strategies on geometric objects by observing their instruction through teaching practicum.&#xD;
Because the observation is of prospective teachers' teaching-strategy knowledge in real life&#xD;
contexts, conducting the study in a classroom environment enables this study to get more&#xD;
valid and reliable results. On this basis, we followed an evaluative case study research-design&#xD;
based a on qualitative research paradigm. The participants were seven elementary prospective&#xD;
mathematics teachers studying at a state university in Turkey. In the data collection process,&#xD;
interviews and observations were used, and the data obtained were analyzed via both&#xD;
descriptive and content analyses techniques. The findings suggest that prospective teachers&#xD;
do not have a wide knowledge on the sort of strategies used in teaching geometric objects;&#xD;
they generally adopted traditional methods, and, due to the abstract nature of geometric&#xD;
objects, their instruction were ineffective at clarifying the dimensions of concept. Besides, it&#xD;
is seen that a real-life environment is beneficial in terms of achieving more realistic and indepth results.</description>

Abstract: During the period between the 8th and 10th centuries, the Khazar Region was one of the&#xD;
economic and trade centers that played a key role in the world. The Northern Silk Road route,&#xD;
which is an important branch of the Silk Road route, passed through the Khazar Region,&#xD;
extended to the Black Sea via the Caucasus, and reached India via the eastern countries. In&#xD;
this period, the Silk Road route passed through the lands under the administration of various&#xD;
Turkish tribes, and the security of the trade routes was provided by the Turks. The geography&#xD;
where the Khazar Khanate was founded was located at the intersection of the most important&#xD;
trade routes of the period. The Northern Silk Road route was taken under control during the&#xD;
Khazar Khaganate; its control was ensured, and a safe trade atmosphere was created. The&#xD;
Khazar Khaganate provided equal opportunities to all merchants, protecting their lives and&#xD;
property regardless of the said merchant's race or religion. The Khaganate applied&#xD;
commercial law systems and a policy of tolerance specific to each religion.&#xD;
This study examines the economic activities of the countries and people around the Caspian&#xD;
Sea between the 8th and 10th centuries and the role and contribution of the Turks, especially&#xD;
the Khazar Khaganate, in the enormous trade environment that occurred in the Khazar Region&#xD;
during this period.</description>

Abstract: It is the contention of realist scholars and thinkers that states in the international system have&#xD;
a natural inclination or proclivity to war. This position is anchored on their belief that the&#xD;
world is inherently anarchic and that, therefore, it is in the interest of states in the international&#xD;
system to be prepared at all times to defend themselves. Relying on the historical-descriptive&#xD;
methodology of content analysis, this paper argues that though conflicts are inevitable in&#xD;
international relations, the international community has put in place certain mechanisms to&#xD;
avoid the occurrence of violent and destructive inter-state conflicts in order to preserve the&#xD;
global system. It concludes that the United Nations is at the forefront of ensuring that&#xD;
international conflicts and war are avoided or at least prevented from assuming violent&#xD;
dimensions which would threaten global peace and security.</description>
