Authors: Kerimova, Yuliya Ivanovna
Abstract: Skourdoumbis and Webster analyze the design of education policy frameworks in Australia,
the UK and the USA and draw on sociological, political and philosophical concepts of Bourdieu, Foucault and Dewey to place familiar debate on neo-liberal education policies within a
multi-faceted critical framework that integrates socio-cultural analysis of evidence-based teaching effectiveness research and questions the dynamics of institutional power mechanisms that
transform classroom practices. This uncommon unite of three scholars bring novel analysis and
encourage rethinking the purposes and processes of public education and creating a new inclusive
epistemology rooted in Deweyan concepts of progressive education. The book contributes to
the scholarly critique of the consequences of neo-capitalist-driven education policies making
individual economic prosperity and the country’s competitiveness the main forces of educational
development. Suggestions are offered including democratic, scientific and authentic dimensions
to the contemporary epistemologies of education to enable it to address the social, philosophical,
cultural, local, and situated and become a “truly human activity.”

Authors: Saeed, Asia; Iqbal, H.M.Zahid
Abstract: This research aims to highlight the phenomenon of dismantling power dynamics in matrimonial relationships and how Pakistani women are exerting their feminine power to subvert the
patriarchal system. Power and oppression are inseparable and play significant roles in shaping
individuals’ lives and lived experiences. The findings of this study highlight that Durrani’s work
has explored the dual standards of the society where patriarchal control over the marriage
institution is stronger than that of women, where women always pay a huge toll for making
their marriages a success. This study analyzes Tehmina Durrani’s memoir “My Feudal Lord (1995)
to determine the relationship between feminine power and the subversion of the patriarchal
system by employing the theoretical contributions of Hartsock (1983) and Mohanty (1991).
Hartsock’s (1983) Feminist Standpoint Theory advocates obtaining women situated knowledge
owing to their privileged marginalized place in society for better understanding because they have
objective and unbiased knowledge, while Mohanty’s (1991) Postcolonial Feminist perspective
stands for the voice of postcolonial marginalized women.

Title: Russian Influence on the Formation of Georgian National Identity
Authors: Torun, Bilal Alper
Abstract: The research investigates how Georgian national identity evolved while Russian influence
shaped this foundational development. Throughout history the Caucasus region has maintained its
complex ethnic and religious diversity because numerous nations have lived there while multiple
empires and states have conducted invasions and occupations. Attempts to seize the region by
Ottomans, Russia and Iran affected the identity formation in the Caucasus. Georgian identity
provides one of the clearest examples. In this study it will be claimed that since the 18th century
the Russian influence was the determining factor in the formation of Georgian national identity. In
this context, first it will be analyzed the concepts of identity and national identity. In this section
concepts of culture and cultural nationalism will be also examined. In the second section of the
study the main components of Georgian national identity will be analyzed. The third section starts
with the Treaty of Georgievsk in 1783 which was a breaking point for the Georgian identity. In
this section it will be evaluated the transformation of Georgian national identity from 1783 to the
end of Russian Tsardom. In the final section of the article, the Menshevik administration of the
short-lived independent Georgia will be examined. The Sovietization processes beginning with
the Red Army’s capture of Tbilisi will be examined followed by an analysis of USSR influence on
Georgia through its efforts to modify Georgian identity.

Title: The Research University, Industry and Artificial Intelligence
Authors: Isakhanli, Hamlet
Abstract: Scientific research in cooperation between science and industry occurs mainly in research
universities. This article begins with a brief history of research universities, a discussion of their
nature and form. Their evolution and development in Europe, the USA and China are recalled;
the special importance of Graduate Schools is underlined. Cooperation between the worlds of
university and industry is studied using the example in the USA of Silicon Valley, a world
leader in its field and initiated by Stanford University. Presented alongside the positive American
experience, is the rather negative experience of the “Russian syndrome”. The development of
semiconductor, transistor and microchip technology has a decisive role in competition between
modern states. The development of electrical engineering and electronics led to the creation of
computers and the internet. Computers were able to conduct some operations more accurately
and quickly than humans: eg. completing large calculations and playing chess. Humans (natural
intelligence) began by creating artificial intelligence first as an assistant, then colleague and,
now, even teacher. Artificial intelligence, currently in popular focus, has significant application
in all areas of human activity. The emergence of big data, an advance of immeasurable value, and
studies including neuroscience have been vital to the study of Artificial Intelligence. The article
discusses machine learning, deep learning based on artificial neural networks, natural language
processing, generative artificial intelligence and other issues related to AI.
