Abstract: | This thesis examines the intricate relationship between EU-Azerbaijan energy cooperation and the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. The central aim is to understand how the EU's energy needs and strategic interests affect its involvement in the conflict and to what extent this relationship fosters regional stability or exacerbates tensions. The analysis is framed around the hypothesis that the EU's strategic importance of Azerbaijan's energy resources has intensified its involvement in the conflict, leading to a bias towards Azerbaijan, and that this interdependence has created a complex landscape of opportunities and challenges for the energy policies of the involved parties and the resolution of the conflict. |
