| Abstract: | The paper covers the issues related with the different types (newspapq political, legal, literary, academic etc.) of discourse from the pragmatic and cognitive perspective of the discourse participant. It reveals that the characteristic feature of political, newspaper, academic, legal discourse is argumentation based on cause-effect relations.Grammatical and lexical elements are explicit signals d these relations. |
